Get your Instrument Rating!

To be eligible for your certificate you must:

  • Hold at least a Private Pilot Certificate
  • Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language
  • Hold an FAA issued medical certificate
  • Pass a knowledge test (CATS)
  • Pass a practical test (a one-on-one oral quiz and flight test with an FAA designated examiner)
  • Have accrued 50 hours of Cross Country flight time as Pilot in Command
  •  

Minimum flight training requirements:

  • 40 total hours actual or simulated instrument flight time.
  •
